Our Year 1 tamariki participate in PMP.  This programme is held in the school hall, 9.00 to 11.00 Thursday & Friday.  This programme develops motor skills through lots of enjoyable, sequenced activities:

  • Body image & position in space
  • Locomotion & fitness
  • Auditory memory
  • Eye tracking

PMP helps the children to:

  • Concentrate
  • Remember
  • Follow instructions
  • Organise themselves

These are underlying skills necessary for:

  • Reading
  • Handwriting & Writing
  • Maths
  • Problem solving
  • Sports skills
  • Fitness

Adult supervisors are required to run this very worthwhile programme. Parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts – do you have half an hour to spare?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
