Book Week, term 3 proved to be incredibly beneficial in many ways:

• Senior children got to read to and with junior children each day.
• Parents and grandparents visited the classrooms.
• We had a character scavenger hunt.
• Our visiting author ‘Mark Sommerset’ was awesome.  He entertained and motivated the children.
• Our community donated 238 books to our school library.
• We bought 40 books from Mark Sommerset.
• Rugby players, a fireman, the librarian, teachers, Ernie and radio presenters read to the children.
• Everyone got to dress up on ‘book character’ day.
• After visiting a junior class using ipads, a family donated another ipad to the school.

We had a fantastic week!
