Mrs stevens came in to room 6 and showed us how to make clay birds. First we had to put a bird template on the square piece of clay, Next we cut around the template to make the clay bird. Then we had to smooth out the edges and the top of the bird. And then it was time to decorate “YAY”. We used the left over clay to design the bird. Then Mrs stevens took the birds home to bake in a pottery oven. Then she brought them back and we painted around the edges and the patterns with special black paint and she took them back to her house to bake again. She brought them back for us to take home.
