Stormy Day

I am inside, looking outside,
Listening …

Rain splashing,
Rain dropping down windows,
Thunder going BOOM!
Doors screeching,
Lightening crashing,
People splashing in puddles,
Hail falling down.
Listening …
I am inside, looking outside.

Stormy Day

I am inside, looking outside,
Listening …

I heard the rain last night -
The rain going sh sh sh sh sh sh at night.
It was going hard out,
I couldn’t sleep because it was rainy, too rainy.

Listening …
I am inside, looking outside.

Stormy Day

I am inside, looking outside,
Listening …

Rain dropping down the window,
Dropping on the grass,
Leaking through the grass, and
Going through the mud.

Listening …
I am inside, looking outside.

Jump Jam!

Every Friday morning (weather permitting!) the children (and teachers) get moving to Jump Jam.

We are ably led by Miss Harding, and some older children lead the way too.

Every Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes, the children in the Junior Syndicate have the opportunity to play Connect 4.

Next term there will be a Connect 4 challenge!

We have been reading Maui and the Sun as our Shared Book. We discussed what would happen if days were too short and nights were too long.

We wrote a description of the sun.

The sun is hot, and the sun is flamy.
The sun’s nose is stripy and the sun’s eyes are hot.
And the sun’s body is hot.
The sun has patterns.

By Mikayla

The sun is hot, and the flames are hot too.
The body is full of patterns, and the eyes are flaming and hot.

By Ashlee

The sun is really hot, and the sun looks really hot and colourful and beautiful and bright.

By Jessi
