It is time for the annual Chess Nut Challenge again, YIPPEE!!

This year we have more entries than ever and 48 children have entered the competition. Whaea Danielle has organised a special trophy for both the middle and senior syndicate champion, I can’t wait to see that.

As always the draw has gone up in the library and children need to arrange a suitable lunchtime for both partners to play their game. The winner writes their name up on the chart and as the weeks go by we gradually eliminate players until we have our two champions of the Chess Nut Challenge.

There are rules around fairness and the etiquette of chess play and just in case of arguments we have a rule book at hand; however we hardly ever need to resort to the rule book.

Any parents of players are welcome to pop in to the library to watch the games.
