Junior Syndicate Hangi

We all worked together to create our hangi.

Mr Stringer dug the pit.

Mr Stringer put the paper on.

Mr Stringer put the wood on.

We peeled the vegetables.

Some of our mothers helped.

Mr Stringer lit the fire early in the morning.

Mr Stringer had some helpers.

The ashes are raked out, and the hot stones put back in.

Whaea Danielle and her father packed the food into the baskets.

The food is ready.

In it goes.

Mr Stringer and his helpers put the covers on.

Off came the covers.

Out came the food.

It smelled GOOD!

Mr Russek helped to take the food to the Hall.

The big kids helped to serve the food.

It was delicious.

We all worked together to make this hangi.

Working together is the Tikanga of our school.
